SICFIT San Diego is designed to enhance the lives of our students through educated coaching, nutritional counseling, challenges, seminars, level testing and community events. Our three levels of training and nutrition are the backbone of our exercise philosophy simply described as LIFE l FITNESS l SPORT. Our goals are to improve the quality of life, to become better than (yesterday) or to score the most points to win.

At SICFIT San Diego, we introduce personal athletic achievement into sport and train athletes ranging in ages from 4-90 from push-up to podium. We believe that being physically FIT and healthy is inspiring; it feels good, builds confidence, enriches our lives and allows us to live our best by becoming better leaders, parents, children and humans. The SIC in SICFIT stands for Strength In Conditioning and at SICFIT San Diego we teach all facets of human movement, including but not limited to; functional movements, personal training, gymnastics, periodized strength training, pre-hab, mobility, flexibility, yoga, Olympic weightlifting, competitive FITness, military training, endurance adventure racing, nutrition coaching, life coaching, supplement prescriptions, body fat analysis, customized programming and above all else holding ourselves, coaches and students and our facilities to the highest possible standards and accountability.

Faculty and coaches are trained in a variety of areas and have experience ranging from military, law enforcement, personal training, Olympic Weightlifting, yoga, nutrition, life coaching, volleyball, CrossFit, professional and collegiate sports, endurance, personal training, cheer leading and gymnastics.

  • 09/02/2014 - Olympic Weightlifting 6 Week Strength Cycle

    Do you know how to Snatch of Clean & Jerk?

    The two Olympic competition lifts are the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. Olympic weightlifting tests aspects of human ballistic limits (explosive strength) and are therefore executed faster—and with more mobility and a greater range of motion during their execution – than other lifts. Properly executed, the snatch and the clean and jerk are both dynamic and explosive while appearing graceful.

    Our Olympic Weightlifting Class is designed to help you get comfortable under the bar. We will focus on the technique, form and associated lifts that will have you throwing more weight around than you ever thought possible.

    We will start the first week of this cycle, May 20th,  with an “Intro to Olympic Weightlifting” class for athletes that are new to these lifts of for those wanting to get a refresher course before we go into a six week strength cycle of Olympic Weightlifting.

    Here’s what you can expect:

    You will learn to PROPERLY execute the Snatch, Clean & Jerk, Power Snatch, and Power Clean. You will also learn squatting variations, pulling variations and overhead pressing variations that will improve your overall lifting capabilities. Most importantly, you will learn to become COMFORTABLE under the bar.




     Olympic Weightlifting classes are held

    Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm

    This 6 week cycle will run from September 2nd through October 9th

    Then bring them in.  September 23-25 (Tuesday – Thursday) will be SICFIT San Diego’s Guest Days.  This gives you the opportunity to bring in your friends or family members and let them try a workout WITH YOU for FREE!  Bring them to a class to see what we do, how we do it and how fun it is.  Everyone needs a workout buddy!

    Halloween is coming and at SICFIT San Diego we are getting in the spirit of things with a costume contest.  We challenge you to dress in a costume that is entertaining and functional.  On Friday, October 31, we are encouraging everyone to wear a costume that they can complete their workout in.  If you do wear a costume, we will take your picture and post it to our Facebook page.  The costume with the most likes wins a SICFIT San Diego t-shirt of your choice.
