SICFIT San Diego is designed to enhance the lives of our students through educated coaching, nutritional counseling, challenges, seminars, level testing and community events. Our three levels of training and nutrition are the backbone of our exercise philosophy simply described as LIFE l FITNESS l SPORT. Our goals are to improve the quality of life, to become better than (yesterday) or to score the most points to win.

At SICFIT San Diego, we introduce personal athletic achievement into sport and train athletes ranging in ages from 4-90 from push-up to podium. We believe that being physically FIT and healthy is inspiring; it feels good, builds confidence, enriches our lives and allows us to live our best by becoming better leaders, parents, children and humans.

The SIC in SICFIT stands for Strength In Conditioning and at SICFIT San Diego we teach all facets of human movement, including but not limited to; functional movements, personal training, gymnastics, periodized strength training, pre-hab, mobility, flexibility, yoga, Olympic weightlifting, competitive FITness, military training, endurance adventure racing, nutrition coaching, life coaching, supplement prescriptions, body fat analysis, customized programming and above all else holding ourselves, coaches and students and our facilities to the highest possible standards and accountability.

Faculty and coaches are trained in a variety of areas and have experience ranging from military, law enforcement, personal training, Olympic Weightlifting, yoga, nutrition, life coaching, volleyball, CrossFit, professional and collegiate sports, endurance, personal training, cheer leading and gymnastics.

    At SICFIT San Diego we believe there is a big difference between training and testing.   Your daily workouts are training.  You come in, listen to the coach, try new things, figure out how hard you need to push and when you pull back.  Training is what you do to become a better athlete.



    Testing is different.  You usually know what the test is and you’ve probably practiced some or all of it and now it’s time to see if all that training has paid off.  When we take a test,we can accurately evaluate our performance and see if we have trained hard enough.  We have to test ourselves occasionally to know if our training is working.


    On Thursday, March 26th, SICFIT San Diego will be holding our first Level 2 “Red Band” Test.  If you’ve passed the Level 1 Test, it’s time to take on the next challenge.  The Level 2 test is designed to test your FITness in 3 separate categories: endurance, strength, and bodyweight movements.  So pull out your Success Journal, check out the test and get in to SICFIT San Diego and talk to your coach about what you need to do to get ready for the Level 2 Test.


    Don’t worry, if you haven’t passed the Level 1 Test, or just aren’t quite ready for the Level 2 Test, come on in to SICFIT San Diego anyway.  You can cheer on your fellow SICFITers or help out by being a judge.  You can see first hand how the test is run so you can be ready when it’s your turn.

      MEN- 2 Mile Run & 50 pull ups in under 20 Min
      WOMEN- 2 Mile Run & 25 Pull Ups in under 25 Min
    • Part 2
      MEN- 10 Body Weight Clean & Jerks and 10 3/4 Body Weight Overhead Squats in under 10 Min
      WOMEN- 10 3/4 Body Weight Clean & Jerks and 10 1/2 Body Weight Overhead Squats in under 12 Min
    • Part 3
      MEN & WOMEN- 50 Burpees in under 4 Min



    *There will be no 6:30 pm class on Monday, March 31st so that we can run the Level 2 Test.

    March is all about our students at SICFIT San  Diego!

    The week of March 16th through 20th is SPIRIT WEEK!!  Each day has it’s own theme and you are HIGHLY encouraged to dress up and be apart of the fun!!!  Who knows, you might receive a special prize if you are dressed the best!!

    Monday: Pro Sport Team Day- come in rocking gear from your favorite professional sport team.  No matter what season it is, its time to rep your team.

    Tuesday: St Patrick’s Day- come dressed in green.  It might keep you from being pinched!

    Wednesday: America Day- we are all about being patriotic here at SICFIT San Diego. Come to class wearing red, white and blue or represent a branch of the military.  ‘MERICA!!!

    Thursday: College Day- come dressed wearing gear from your favorite college team and/or your Alma Mater, as if you are ready for the biggest game of the year!!

    Friday: SICFIT San Diego Day – Red, Black and White baby!! Come decked out head to toe in your SICFIT San Diego gear!  Don’t have enough?  We have some new gear in stock just for this occasion!

     As part of our ongoing member appreciation month, we are allowing all SICFIT San Diego students to attend UNLIMITED CLASSES during Spirit Week!

    Are you ready to take the Level 1 Test and EARN your White Band?

    We know you checked out the requirements in the success journal and now its time for you to take this challenge head on!  March 26 , at 6:30 pm, we will be holding another Level 1 Test (Class 07) and every member is encouraged to come give it a shot.  If you are worried about a few of the challenges, talk to one of the coaches and you will get the help you need.  It is still a few weeks away so you still have time to work on those skills.

    Still think you’re not ready?  Then come cheer on your friends and see what you need to do to get ready for the next test.

    And if you think that you are too advanced for the Level 1, you’re not!  You must pass the Level 1 in order to attempt the Level 2 Test.


    Make sure to sign up for the test so we can make sure to have enough judges!


    Come EARN your Level 1 White Band!  The test is free for members.
